Dining with Little Miss Ling: Les Fils à Maman, Lyon, France

Dining with Little Miss LingLes Fils à Maman

Les Fils à Maman was established by four friends who wanted to share the food of their childhood. The concept of nostalgia and childhood extends beyond the food to the décor.

Children of the 80s. I loved Operation!

Les Fils à Maman

Such a funky menu

The food was hearty, unpretentious, and absolutely delicious. So delicious that Les Fils à Maman quickly rose the ranks to become one of hubby and my favourite restaurants of all time!

I’ve saved the best till last. The mains that hubby and I shared stole the show.

with Macaroni and Cheese Bake – Melt-in-your-mouth veal with a side of the tastiest mac ‘n’ cheese I’ve ever had

The service was just as fantastic as the food. Out waiter, Charlie, was super friendly and helpful; The fact that he was cute and had a British accent didn’t hurt either! =p It was definitely the best service I’ve experienced in Europe, if not my life.

Les Fils à Maman has restaurants in Brussels, Paris and Hong Kong, as well as Lyon. If anyone has an idea of how to get Les Fils à Maman to start a restaurant in Würzburg or Australia, let me know pronto!
