Getting Creative with Little Miss Ling: Pierre the Caterpillar
For the second instalment of the FreshStitches Kit Club, I received the pattern for Alastair the Caterpillar and a funky little wooden moustache button in support of Movember.
I couldn’t wait to get stuck into it and I finished crocheting this little guy in two days!
In the same way Frosty the Snowman came to life when they put the old silk hat on his head, the caterpillar came to life when I stitched the moustache on. He instantly became French!
I couldn’t have a French caterpillar with a Scottish name like Alastair, so I renamed him Pierre the Caterpillar.
To pronounce his name correctly, you have to change the last syllable of “caterpillar” to rhyme with “Pierre”. Oui?
